Norway Savings Bank has promoted Penny Anderson to assistant vice president and market manager for its two branches in Brunswick and Topsham.
Anderson joined Norway Savings in 2020 as a personal banker for the midcoast market, bringing 17 years of financial and leadership experience.
“Penny has worked in multiple lines of business in the financial industry with experience in team management, project management, sales, customer service, risk management, collections and lending,” said Randy Easler, senior vice president and senior retail banking officer.
“She is lauded for her care of customers and for her commitment to giving back to the community,” he continued.
Prior to joining Norway Savings, she held roles at Bank of America, MBNA and Continuum Global Solutions.
The Lisbon Falls resident serves on the executive board as treasurer for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Brunswick and also volunteers for the United Way, People Plus, Tedford Housing and the Midcoast Athletic & Recreation Complex.
Norway Savings Bank has 24 branches and was ranked No. 7 among the largest Maine-based banks, based on assets of $1.83 billion on June 30, 2023, according to the 2024 Mainebiz Book of Lists.
