Machias Savings Bank has added two experienced banking professionals to its leadership team.
Danielle Ahern, who has over 20 years of experience, will take on the role of senior vice president and director of treasury services. Ahern has experience in treasury management, digital payment solutions and fraud risk mitigation.
In her new role, she will help businesses optimize cash utilization, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure secure and streamlined financial processes.
Ahern graduated from Husson University and the University of Maine. The Bangor resident is serves as chair of the board for Jobs for Maine Graduates and on the board of Catholic Charities Maine.

James Gehrke has nearly 20 years of experience in commercial banking. In his new role, he will lead a team of business bankers and foster relationships with businesses across the region.
“What’s unique about Maine is the number of businesses, often unknown to the public, that are the backbone of our communities,” said Gehrke. “I am humbled by the dedication of these business owners and proud to be in a position to help them achieve their goals with tailored financial solutions.”
A graduate of the Bangor Region Leadership Institute and Maine Leadership Institute, Gehrke serves on the boards of the Brewer Economic Development Corp. and Partners for Peace.
The Brewer resident is a graduate of Husson University and the University of Maine at Farmington.
