Maine Audubon hires L.L.Bean exec for deputy director post
Maine Audubon has announced that L.L.Bean executive and former Maine Audubon board member and chairman Andrew Beahm will be assuming the post of deputy director of the wildlife and conservation organization.
Most recently Beahm, who has worked at L.L.Bean for 34 years, served as L.L.Bean’s vice president of business transformation, where he led a company-wide reengineering process focused on improving operations, simplifying systems and building a platform for continuing growth. Beahm also served as L.L.Bean’s vice president of internal audit, assistant treasurer, vice president of brand services and director of strategic planning, among other management and analyst roles for the company.
“I have had the privilege of being involved with Maine Audubon for many years, in many capacities,” said Beahm in a statement about his appointment. “I’ve been a visitor to Gilsland Farm, a member, a trustee and then chair of the board. For me, it is a thrill to be able to contribute to the success of such an important organization in a brand new way. I couldn’t be more excited to join this team.”
A graduate of the University of Maine system, Beahm is an avid outdoorsman, paddler, runner and cyclist. He lives in Falmouth.
