Maine PR firm fights Bush library

A Maine public relations firm has been tapped to help a grassroots effort aimed at blocking the construction of President George Bush's presidential library museum and think tank at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

Rev. Andrew Weaver, a Methodist minister from Brooklyn, N.Y. who is heading the effort, told the Associated Press that P&S Associates of Maine LLC has been hired to design an advertising campaign for Methodist publications. Weaver said the goal of the campaign is to inform people that the partisan think tank will not be under the university's control and that it will promote the Bush administration's policies.

P&S Associates is led by Stephen Swecker of North Berwick, who is also editor and publisher of The Progressive Christian, according to the AP.
