New hires

The city of Portland hired Gregory Watson as director of housing and economic development. Watson previously managed the origination department within MassHousing.

FocusMaine, a nonprofit in Portland created to enhance opportunity and prosperity for Maine families, hired Andrea Cianchette Maker as president. Maker previously chaired the government relations practice at Pierce Atwood LLP.

Island Workforce Housing in Deer Isle hired Genevieve McDonald as executive director. McDonald is a former member of the Maine House of Representatives.

Legacy Properties Sotheby’s International Realty, a luxury real estate company in Portland, hired Debi Fox, David Hagan and Fred Hebert as real estate professionals in Damariscotta.

Franklin Health Behavioral Services in Farmington hired Michaela Moden and Ryan Robinson as psychiatrists.

Neuropsychology and Concussion Management Associates in Yarmouth hired Katherine Baum as a neuropsychologist. Baum was most recently director of testing and neuropsychology with Refresh Mental Health in Jacksonville Beach, Fla.

Maine Behavioral Healthcare in South Portland hired Lee Wolfrum as medical director of Spring Harbor Hospital in Westbrook. Wolfrum also serves as an associate professor of psychiatry at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston.

KeyBank in Portland hired Crystal Beaulieu as area retail leader for Southern Maine. Beaulieu was previously retail market manager at TD Bank.

Kate Rush, Androscoggin Bank

Androscoggin Bank in Lewiston hired Kate Rush as executive vice president and COO.

Bar Harbor Bank & Trust hired Kaleb Davis as branch relationship manager in Brunswick. Davis was previously branch manager and mortgage banker at LeaderOne Financial.

Machias Savings Bank hired Kyle Taylor as assistant vice president, branch manager in Presque Isle. Taylor was with the County Federal Credit Union.

The Maine State Chamber of Commerce in Augusta hired Ashley Luszczki as government relations specialist. Luszczki previously was a legislative aide for the Maine Senate Republicans and policy director for the Maine Senate president.

Appointments

R.M. Davis, a private wealth management firm in Portland, announced that Scot Draeger, president, joined the Brunswick-based Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program board of directors.

Goodwill Northern New England in Gorham elected Tiffany Breau-Metivier as board chair. Breau-Metivier is vice president of transformation office lead at Unum.

Achievements

Marina Holdings LLC in Yarmouth said it was listed No. 7 in the Boating Industry’s “Top 100 listing of best dealers in North America.”

Piper Shores in Scarborough announced that Michael Roy, a certified nursing assistant, received the “Excellence in Long-Term Care Award” from the Maine Health Care Association and the Maine Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program.

HospitalityMaine announced its 2023 Annual Awards winners. Jesse Souza at Front & Main was named “2023 Chef of the Year;” Michael Boland, Havana, “2023 Restaurateur of the Year;” Matt Powell and George Trinovitch, Pentagoet Inn & Pub, “2023 Innkeepers of the Year;” Cyndi Robbins, Poland Spring Resort, and Chip Gray, Harraseeket Inn, “2023 Lifetime Achievement;” and Don Golini, Nonantum Resort, “2023 Employee of the Year.”

The National Association of Social Workers Maine Chapter named Health Affiliates Maine in Auburn as its “2023 Social Work Agency of the Year.”

Verrill, a law firm in Portland, said it was recognized nationally in five practice areas by Best Lawyers and that 48 of its Maine-based practice areas were recognized in the publication’s Metro Rankings.

Jim Britt, director of communications at the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, was honored with the “2023 Communications Honor Award” by the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture.

Consigli Construction Co. Inc. in Portland announced that the John and Lile Gibbons Center for Arctic Studies and Barry Mills Hall at Bowdoin College in Brunswick was named as a “2023 New England Best Project of the Year” winner in the Higher Education/Research category by Engineering News Record.

The Finance Authority of Maine presented Camden National Bank with its “Lender at Work for Maine” award, which recognizes banks for their commitment to supporting Maine businesses and jobs. In 2023 the bank partnered with the authority on 68 small business loans for more than $32 million, which helped create 115 Maine jobs and retain an additional 884 jobs.

New Ventures Maine in South Portland named Maine State Sen. Eloise Vitelli as the 2023 recipient of its “Merle Nelson Women Making A Difference Award.”

Central Maine Growth Council in Waterville presented its annual “2023 Developer of the Year” award to Sheridan Construction Corp. in Fairfield for its work on the $10 million Thomas College Sukeforth Athletic Center.

Pierce Atwood, a law firm in Portland, said that it received the “2023 Pine Tree Legal Assistance 1967 Commitment to Justice Award” for outstanding pro bono services through Pine Tree’s Eviction Defense Project.

The Construction Safety Research Alliance presented Steve Foster with a “Safety Leadership Award.” Foster is director of safety training at MYR Group, an international electrical contractor with offices in Oakland and Westbrook.
