New hires

Northern Light Mercy Primary Care hired Jeffrey Badillo as a physician in Yarmouth and Jennifer Horne as a physician in Gorham.

OceanView at Falmouth, a retirement community, hired Jamie Taylor as program manager for its Legacy Memory Care Community. Taylor previously worked as director of life enrichment and pastoral care at Mount Saint Joseph in Waterville.

Maine College of Art & Design in Portland hired Laura Retherford as associate vice president of development. Previously, Retherford was director of leadership for giving at the American Civil Liberties Union of Maine.

Bar Harbor Bank & Trust hired Cody Farrell as branch relationship manager in Bar Harbor. Farrell was previously with Olympia Sports.

DFD Russell Medical Centers in Monmouth hired Mayra Brink as a board-certified physician assistant.

Allen Insurance and Financial in Camden hired Alison McDonald as a receptionist.

Coastal Enterprises Inc., a nonprofit, community development financial institution in Brunswick, hired Emma Enoch as a loan and investment officer, Diana LeBlanc as talent and diversity specialist and Dasha White as senior vice president for the CEI-Boulos team.

The Maine Credit Union League in Westbrook hired Krista Simonis as director of governmental affairs. Simonis was previously with the Oregon League of Conservation Voters.

Geiger, a promotional products distributor in Lewiston, hired Stephanie Whitman as vice president of marketing. Whitman was manager of marketing operations for Hussey Seating Co.

Camden National Wealth Management in Portland hired Rachael Billings and Andrew Livingston as senior wealth advisors. Billings was a wealth relationship manager at Bangor Savings Bank while Livingston was a portfolio manager at Key Private Bank.

Waban Projects, a Sanford-based agency serving adults and children with developmental disabilities, hired Pamela Zagorski as director of operations and Randy Moser as marketing and development manager.

Promotions

Coastal Enterprises Inc., a nonprofit, community development financial institution in Brunswick, promoted Kelsie Bouchard to director, CEI Notes and Portfolio Management; Gabrielle Grunkemeyer to development director; Raynor Large to center director and Alison Lane to associate center director of the Maine SBDC at CEI; Linnea Patterson to program developer: climate justice and environmental resilience; Leah Thibault to director of marketing and communications; and Jessica Stover to senior accountant and treasury administrator.

Systems Engineering Inc., an employee-owned security-focused IT strategy and managed services provider in Portland, promoted Jen Hughes to director of people and culture. Hughes was previously employee success manager.

Appointments

Coastal Enterprises Inc., a nonprofit, community development financial institution in Brunswick, added Sean Dundon, Safiya Khalid, Jason Parent, Adler Prioly and Krystal Williams to its board of directors. Dundon is director of partnerships and channel development at VETRO FiberMap; Khalid is leadership programs manager at Gateway Community Services Maine; Parent is executive director and CEO at Aroostook County Action Program; Prioly is vice president, structured finance at Distributed Solar Development; and Williams is founding manager at Providentia Group.

Maine Association of Nonprofits in Portland announced that Jennifer Hutchins, executive director, was elected to her first term on the board of the National Council of Nonprofits.

Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay said its “Gardens Aglow” exhibit was nominated for the annual USA Today 10 Best Readers’ Choice Award for the “Best Botanical Garden Holiday Lights.”

Central Maine Growth Council and KV Connect presented its “2022 Emerging Leader of the Year” award to Mike Perreault, executive director of the Maine Film Center.

MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta and Maine Medical Center in Portland each earned an “A” rating in the fall 2022 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade.

The Diabetes Leadership Council, a diabetes and health care reform advocacy organization advancing patient-centered policies, announced that U.S. Sen. Susan Collins was one of its “2022 Diabetes Champions.”

The American Council of Engineering Companies of Maine presented its “2023 Engineering Excellence Awards” at its Annual Fall Forum. WBRC and Thornton Tomasetti won the “Grand Conceptor Award;” HNTB, “Special Recognition for Public Engagement and Innovative Technology;” Haley & Aldrich, “Honor Award for Application of Complex Design for a Challenging Environment;” Haley Ward Inc., “Honor Award for Sustainable Design Considerations;” SLR, “Honor Award for Creative Solution to Multimodal Challenges;” and TYLin, “Honor Award for Excellence in Traffic Management and Planning.”

Rinck, an advertising agency in Lewiston, won “Best in Show: Integrated Campaign — Promotional & Branding” at the 18th Annual Davey Awards for its Keeper of the Maine Outdoors Campaign for the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.

The Maine Justice Foundation announce that University of Maine Law School Juris Doctor Candidate, Ashley Kuntz, was selected as the “2023 Coffin Family Law Fellow.”

The John T. Gorman Foundation in Portland announced that 10 Maine leaders complete the John T. Gorman Fellowship.
