The Portland International Jetport today announced that American Airlines, the jetport’s largest carrier, will start non-stop jet service to Chicago O’Hare International Airport starting June 7, 2018.
The new service will be operated twice daily on 70-seat regional jets.
“We are thrilled to have American Airlines make their second air service announcement in a month, growing service here at Portland,” said Paul Bradbury, the airport’s director. “Today’s announcement of Chicago will add additional westbound capacity to our market which has been a strategic focus of the airport to meet the business needs of our community.”
American Airlines is the largest carrier at the Portland International Jetport with existing service to Charlotte, Philadelphia and Washington D.C.
Last month American Airlines announced service to New York's LaGuardia airport starting April 3, 2018.
With today’s announcement, American will service five non-stop destinations out of Portland International Jetport. The new service is loaded in the schedule and can be booked now at www.aa.com.
