Real estate firm Ram Harnden to close

Two mainstays in Portland's commercial real estate world are joining forces.
Jim Harnden plans to close his 25-year-old agency, Ram Harnden, and join Malone Commercial Brokers.
Staff at Ram Harnden have been notifying clients of the change for the past couple of days. Paul Boghossian, a client and developer of Hathaway Creative Center in Waterville, plans to transfer his listing to Malone, saying he trusts Ram's work. "We have great faith in their ability," he told Mainebiz.
Office staff at Ram Harnden said the Middle Street office will remain open until Feb. 19. Calls placed to Harnden and other brokers at the agency, and to Joe Malone, president of Malone Commercial Brokers, were not returned by deadline.
