Saco & Biddeford Savings names next chief operating officer

Saco & Biddeford Savings has hired Sarah Rodgers as its new chief operating officer.

In the role, Rodgers will oversee the bank’s operations to provide customer and community service. She will also play a pivotal role in executing the bank’s strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and expanding service offerings.

“I’m really eager to bring a fresh voice to SBSI,” said Rodgers. “I truly believe in the power of teamwork and working cross-functionally to optimize operating rhythms.

Rodgers has over 30 years of experience in the financial industry, from the East to the West Coast. 

Prior to joining SBSI, she held key leadership roles at Unum, TD Bank, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, West Monroe and Affirm. 

The Westbrook native received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern Maine and her master’s in business administration and management general studies from American InterContinental University.

Saco & Biddeford Savings was No. 12 among the Maine-based banks with the largest market share in the 2024 Mainebiz Book of Lists, based on $5.3 billion in assets as of June 30, 2023. 

Founded in 1827, the bank employs 200 people and has branches in Saco, Biddeford, Old Orchard Beach, Portland, Scarborough, South Portland and Westbrook.
