The Sheridan Construction Corp., a Fairfield-based design and construction company that is celebrating its 70th year in business, announced leadership and ownership changes following the recent retirement of Bradley Nelson as president.
Mitchell Sammons will now serve as president and Daniel Wildes as senior vice president and chief operating officer for the company. In addition, both Sammons and Wildes have assumed ownership of the Sheridan companies.
Sammons has been part of Sheridan’s executive team since 1982 and has more than 45 years of experience in the construction industry. He is an alumnus of the University of Maine and began his construction career with the Eichleay Corp. of Pittsburgh.
Wildes previously served as vice president of construction, managing construction operations since 1989. He is a graduate of the Wentworth Institute of Technology where he earned a bachelor-of-science degree in construction management.
Founded in 1947, Sheridan Construction Corp. is Maine’s eighth-largest Maine-based construction company, based on 2015 as reported in 2017 Mainebiz Book of Lists, with $33 million in revenue and 75 employees. It provides all methods of construction delivery services, but specializes in the design/build approach to commercial, industrial and institutional building construction.
It has completed more than 4,000 construction projects across Maine and the Northeast.
