“I look forward to the challenges of this new role’s responsibilities in continuing to further protect our personal and business customers’ financial well-being in a manner that helps them reach their goals," said Alberico.

Alberico has been with the bank for 26 years, joining when he was still in high school. He has held positions in deposit operations, accounting, indirect lending, mortgage lending, commercial credit and, most recently, as the vice president and risk management officer.

The Skowhegan resident received his associate's degree in business administration from Thomas College. He serves on the boards of the Kennebec Valley Community Action Program, Skowhegan Rotary Club and Skowhegan Area Cal Ripken Baseball.

“He has worked in several different departments within the bank and has a vast knowledge of the banking industry as a whole that, along with his dedication to our customers, makes him a valuable addition to our senior management team in this position," said Vicki Alward, executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Skowhegan Savings is ranked No. 17 among the largest Maine-based banks in the 2025 Mainebiz Book of Lists, based on $880.8 million in assets as of June 30, 2024.
