Solomon's $1M house auctioned

The $1 million lake house of a former Norway business owner jailed for MaineCare theft was sold at auction for $360,000.

John Dedian, a businessman from Concord, Mass., was the winning bidder Tuesday for the unfinished house on Long Lake in Harrison previously owned by Dawn Cummings Solomon, according to the Sun Journal. Solomon owned a number of health care-related and consulting businesses in Norway, but an investigation last year revealed she had stolen $4 million from MaineCare by falsifying expense reports. In May, Solomon was sentenced to 42 months in prison for felony theft by deception. The nine properties Solomon and her husband owned in the area were auctioned off earlier this year.

Dedian, who works in the merchandise display business, says he plans to live in the 5,248-square-foot house year-round. The house sits on 7 acres and has 435 feet of water frontage.
