Spinnaker Trust has promoted Caitlin DiMillo to principal at the Portland-based financial services firm.
DiMillo joined the firm in 2015 and most recently was a senior vice president and client advisor, in addition to serving as chief trust officer for five years.
“In her eight years at Spinnaker, she has become an indispensable part of our firm,” said Amanda Rand, president, CEO and principal of Spinnaker Trust.
“Caitlin’s genuine ability to attentively understand and absorb our client's needs and financial goals and a keen interest in helping our team members and firm grow make her ideally suited to take on this new leadership role.“
In the role of client advisor, DiMillo draws on her experience as a trusts and estates attorney to help clients work through complex issues such as wealth transfer, estate, gift and tax planning to meet their evolving needs.
Prior to joining Spinnaker Trust, she worked for the Portland law firm of Hopkinson & Abbondanza.
The Falmouth resident received her bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Vermont and holds her a law degree from the University of Maine School of Law. She also serves on the boards of Pine Tree Legal Assistance and the Maine Estate Planning Council.
Founded in 2000, Spinnaker Trust is chartered as a nondepository trust company that manages more than $2.5 billion. It provides investment management, trust, estate planning and tax services.
