Zachau Construction, a construction management company in Freeport, formed an advisory board to assist the company in its strategic growth and commitment to core values.
Jeff Zachau, second-generation CEO, said the goal of the board is to ensure the 54-year-old company continues into the future as a successful and growing construction management company.
The board was an idea years in the making, to provide a group of business advisors the company can lean on and leverage to help with the evolution of a family-owned company.
The board consists of seven business leaders:
“I wanted a group of people that could bring a depth of perspective and expertise to bear on the issues we are navigating,” said Zachau.
After more than a year of discussion with business leaders and strategy consultants, Zachau held its first advisory board meeting in February. Serving in a purely advisory capacity, the board offers “a depth of knowledge, expertise and community relationships to strengthen our company strategy,” he added.
Zachau Construction has 11 active job sites, including the former Mercy Hospital redevelopment, Wolfe’s Neck Center, Front Street redevelopment phase I and II, Morong Audi, Hannaford Corporate, 317 Main Community Music Center, Bath Iron Works, Bow Street Beverage’s new location in Wells, Millbrook Housing, and Community Housing of Maine projects Equinox and Winter Landing.
Zachau Construction was founded in 1969 by Earle Zachau. Today it’s led by Jeff Zachau, CEO, and Drew Wing, president.
