Bath Savings Trust Co. has hired Jim Goodbody as vice president and trust officer.
Goodbody is a financial advisor with over 14 years of experience managing diverse client portfolios and delivering customer service, the bank said in a news release.
His expertise includes estate planning, portfolio management, strategic investment analysis and trust administration.
“Jim comes to us with a wealth of experience, and we are thrilled to welcome him to the BSTC team,” said Thomas Whelan, president of Bath Savings.
"His expertise and dedication to providing outstanding customer service will be an asset to Bath Savings Trust Co. as we look ahead to our 36th year in business.”
Goodbody began his financial career with Merrill Lynch in 2009 and most recently spent the last 10 years with LPL Financial at Gorham Savings Bank.
The Cumberland native graduated from Greely High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of New Hampshire and an MBA from Boston University.
Outside of work, he is deeply involved in his community. He serves as vice president of the Sunday River Ski and Snowboard Club and as a donor advisor for the Maine Community Foundation.
Bath Savings Institution was ranked No. 13 among the largest Maine-based banks in the 2024 Mainebiz Book of Lists, with $1.3 billion in assets.
The bank has 12 full-service offices, located in Bath, Boothbay Harbor, Brunswick, Damariscotta, Falmouth, Freeport, Portland, South Portland, Westbrook and Yarmouth.
