Camden Nat'l completes acquisition

Camden National Corp., the parent company of Camden National Bank and Acadia Trust, has completed its acquisition of Union Bankshares Co.

The combined organization will have more than $2.3 billion in assets and $1.5 billion in deposits, making it the largest independent banking organization in the state, according to a press release.

Camden National Corp. first announced the acquisition on Aug. 14, 2007.
