Greenlight Maine, an entrepreneurial pitch contest offering a $100,000 prize, has announced a casting call for its fourth season, which will be videotaped July 16-24 at the Gracie Theater at Husson University in Bangor.
Deadline for submissions from qualified entrepreneurs is May 20 by 11:59 p.m. The 26 Season 4 contestants will be announced on June 1.
Greenlight Maine, which airs statewide on WCSH6 and WLBZ2, has proven to be a great source of business building mentoring, funding and development for all participating entrepreneurs. In addition to the $100,000 annual cash prize that is awarded to the winner of the season, millions have been invested in companies that have been showcased.
The Season 3 finals will air in June.
Greenlight Maine is the vision of Portland Media Group, a custom content and production company founded by Brian Corcoran, CEO of Shamrock Sports & Entertainment; Nat Thompson, former producer/owner of WCSH-6; and Con Fullam, an executive TV producer and music composer.
“There are no losers in Greenlight Maine,” said Corcoran. “In our first three seasons, over 200 prospective companies have been vying for the coveted prize purse as well as received priceless mentoring from some of the most admired corporate and community leaders in our state.”
