Inc. list includes 11 Maine cos.

Eleven Maine companies have made Inc. magazine's 2011 list of the fastest-growing companies in the country.

The 2011 Inc. 500|5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2007 through 2010. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2007, and made at least $2 million in 2010. Additionally, they had to be based in the United States, privately held, for profit and independent as of Dec. 31, 2010.

The companies are:

  • No. 1,040: Putney, Portland. Three-year growth of 291%; annual revenue of $9.5 million; 12 employees
  • No. 1,098: Listen Up Espanol, Portland. Three-year growth of 274%; annual revenue $10.7 million; 535 employees
  • No. 1,144: Tilson Technology Management, Portland. Three-year growth of 260%; annual revenue of $3.4 million; 27 employees
  • No. 2,205: Preval, Portland. Three-year growth of 113%; annual revenue of $30.7 million; 175 employees
  • No. 2,322: New England Medical Transcription, Woolwich. Three-year growth of 104%; annual revenue of $5.6 million; 40 employees
  • No. 2,692: Look's Gourmet Food, Whiting. Three-year growth of 84%; annual revenue of $4.6 million; 21 employees.
  • No. 4,014: Nationwide Payment Solutions, Scarborough. Three-year growth of 31%; annual revenue of $17.4 million; 61 employees
  • No. 4,172: Pioneer Telephone, South Portland. Three-year growth of 27%; annual revenue of $16.1 million; 32 employees
  • No. 4,320: GWI, Biddeford. Three-year growth of 23%; annual revenue of $14.1 million; 66 employees
  • No. 4,355: Mailings Unlimited, Portland. Three-year growth of 22%; annual revenue of $9.9 million; 38 employees
  • No. 4,483: Isamax Snacks, Gardiner. Three-year growth of 18%; annual revenue $2.2 million; 33 employees
