Cheri Bonawitz of Malone Commercial Brokers was named the 2024 Realtor of the Year by the Maine Commercial Association of Realtors.
The award recognized Bonawitz’s contributions to the commercial real estate industry, her leadership roles and her commitment to community service.
She has been a broker since 2007 and with Malone since 2018. Her work spans business brokerage and commercial transactions.
Her recent high-profile deals include the $2.5 million sale of VIP Tour & Charter Bus Co. in Portland and a $1.2 million Wells motel property transaction.
She was one of the brokers on the $1.3 million sale of two industrial buildings, totaling 68,000 square feet, at 5 Water St. in Springvale.
She is president-elect for the Maine Commercial Association of Realtors and the income New England CCIM Chapter president.
With interests extending beyond real estate, she serves on the board of directors for USA Hockey.
