Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate the Masiello Group — headquartered in Bedford, N.H., with offices in Maine — launched a website designed to empower its agents to share their listings’ compensation percentages.

The website comes in the wake of recent changes in the real estate industry, including shifts in disclosure of buyer's agency compensation and updates to the Multiple Listing Service, or MLS, system.

As of Aug. 17, new policies by the National Association of Realtors changes how buyer’s agents are compensated for real estate transactions.

In the past, sellers usually paid the buyer and seller’s agent fees, according to realtor.com. Now, buyers are responsible for compensating their agent.

The new policies also require MLS participants providing services to a buyer to enter into a written agreement before the buyer tours a property on the MLS, rather than rely on a verbal conversation or assuming an understanding.

Masiello’s new website, WhatsMyComp.com, provides an interface where agents can showcase their listings and outline compensation details.

The initiative aims to enhance communication within the real estate industry, according to a news release.

The website is accessible to agents working with Better Homes and Gardens the Masiello Group. Agents can plug in a street address to the platform and receive detailed results from active listings with the agency.

Established in 1966, the Masiello Group, a second-generation family company, is led by Chairman Chris Masiello and CEO Joanne Goguen.
