Portland IT firm makes second acquisition this month, promising more to come

Logically, a Portland IT provider formerly known as Winxnet, on Wednesday unveiled its second acquisition this month as it remains on the prowl for further buying opportunities.

The latest deal, whose terms were not disclosed, is for Reno, Nev.-based IQ Technology Solutions, the largest provider of managed IT services and computer technologies solutions in its region.

Logically sees that market as a natural extension, complementing its local service delivery teams across the country including San Diego; Boston; Chattanooga, Tenn; Yorktown Heights, N.Y.; Raleigh, N.C.; and its home base in Portland.

Steve Cerocke, who founded IQ Technology Solutions more than 25 years ago, will become a senior advisor to Logically's leadership team, while his company's entire team will stay on and "form the backbone of Logically’s Nevada market presence," according to Logically CEO Christopher Claudio.

"What impressed us about IQ Technologies, aside from their stellar growth and award-winning recognition in the market, was their dedication to customer support and client satisfaction,” Claudio said in a news release.

Christopher Claudio, CEO of Logically, said the Portland IT firm was impressed with IQ Technology Solutions's dedication to quality, technical acumen and market leadership.

“This dedication to quality, technical acumen and market leadership is a great fit for Logically as we continue to look for strong MSPs [managed service providers] to join our organization,” he added.

The company said it plans more acquisitions in coming months, and that it is actively acquiring providers that are culturally aligned with core values, expand the team of technical and customer service experts, and are recognized leaders in their geographic markets.

A spokesperson for Logically told Mainebiz that the IQ Technology Solutions acquisition adds 30 people to Logically's employee count of 250.

The deal announcement comes two weeks after Logically's acquisition of Carolinas IT, a Raleigh, N.C.-based provider of outsourced IT services in a deal that strengthens the buyer's position in the health care, nonprofit and financial services sectors, as well as state and local government agencies.
