A psychologist looking to expand her practice was attracted to the “modern farmhouse” aesthetic at a century-old former family home in Portland
Julie Quimby of Soulful Spaces LLC bought 171 Warren Ave. from Poulin Property Holdings LLC for $666,000.
The transaction was handled on behalf of the seller by the Boulos Co.’s Craig Young and Sasha Phillips and on behalf of the buyer by Melanie LeClair.
The property consists of a 3,954-square-foot, three-story building, dating to 1914, on just over 1 acre.
The former home is today a professional office building. It was marketed as being well maintained and conveniently located between I-95 and I-295, with high visibility and easy access to the Maine turnpike and downtown Portland.
There is on-site parking with 27 spaces.
Quimby is a licensed psychologist and founder and CEO of Psychology Specialists of Maine.
She currently leases space at Two Portland Square in Portland and at 14 Maine St. in Brunswick.
The plan is to expand her practice to include psychiatry services and start renovations on the 3,954-square-foot Warren Avenue building.
