Kennebec Savings Bank has promoted Nicolas Patenaude to regional vice president and treasurer.
In his new role, Patenaude is responsible for overseeing the bank’s financial activities, managing cash flow and developing and implementing financial strategies.
“I am thrilled for the opportunity to grow in this role and contribute to the continued success of the bank,” said Patenaude.
Patenaude joined Kennebec Savings in 2010 as an intern and went through the management trainee program. Early in his career, he spent some time on the loan team before transitioning to finance and has since been rising through the ranks.
Most recently, he served as assistant treasurer.
”Nicolas’s dedication and commitment to our financial goals are truly invaluable," said Andrew Silsby, CEO and president of Kennebec Savings Bank. “Nicolas clearly understands the importance of implementing financial strategies and has shown immense growth over his tenure at the Bank.”
Patenaude received his bachelor's degree in business administration and finance from the University of Maine. He is also a Kennebec Leadership Institute graduate and treasurer of the Calumet Education Foundation. He is enrolled in the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
Kennebec Savings Bank has $1.67 billion in assets and 199 employees at offices in Augusta, Farmingdale, Freeport, Waterville, Portland and Winthrop.
Kennebec Savings ranked No. 9 among the largest Maine-based banks in the 2024 Mainebiz Book of Lists, based on assets as of June 30, 2023.
