Maine Association of Realtors Foundation matches member giving

The Maine Association of Realtors Foundation, the charitable arm of Maine Association of Realtors, doubled the amount of dollars raised and distributed by local Realtors boards/councils across Maine.

Over $162,000 was awarded to match local grants to 29 organizations providing housing and/or fuel assistance to people with low incomes, according to a news release.

"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to match the funds raised by local Realtors in Maine, supporting individuals who live and work in our communities by helping them secure shelter and stay warm during the winter months," said Andrea Page, 2025 chair of the foundation and a real estate broker with Keller Williams in Portland.

The foundation established an Affordable Housing Fund in 1991. The primary source of revenue for the fund is interest earnings paid by financial institutions on real estate trust accounts administered by Realtor offices across Maine.

Since 1993, local Realtor boards have raised over $2 million to address affordable housing needs throughout the state and the foundation has matched these dollars with an additional $1.7 million, close to a one-to-one match.
