The Maine Hospital Association is partnering with Husson University to offer courses to association members and hospital employees at a discounted rate.
The partnership gives MHA members and employees a tuition break on courses towards undergraduate degrees, master's degrees and certificates.
Maine Hospital Association member hospitals can also arrange customized learning on-site to strengthen knowledge in needed areas.
“Caring for our communities means investing not only in patient care but also in the growth and development of our healthcare professionals,” said Steven Michaud, president of the Maine Hospital Association. “Together with Husson, we're fostering the future of healthcare in Maine.”
Individuals who participate can apply for a certificate or a non-capped undergraduate degree. Those who have completed a bachelor’s degree from a recognized, accredited institution can apply for an MBA.
The Maine Hospital Association joins other organizations that have recently teamed with Husson to offer educational programs, including L.L.Bean, Jackson Laboratory, MMG Insurance and Bangor Savings Bank.
“At Husson, we know that a highly skilled workforce is essential to an organization’s productivity and success,” said Dr. Lynne Coy-Ogan, Husson’s senior vice president for academic affairs and provost. “We are proud to partner with the Maine Hospital Association in their quest to strengthen their workforce through ongoing education.”
