Midcoast financial firm hires new director of human resources
A woman with a "diverse business background and extensive leadership experience" has been hired as the new director of human resources at Allen Insurance and Financial, which has offices in several midcoast towns.
Susan Howland has held senior executive leadership positions at MBNA, Wayfarer Marine in Camden, Penobscot Bay YMCA, and Maine Sport in Rockport. She has a bachelor’s degree in international affairs and economics and a master’s degree in economics from the University of Maine.
“Susan’s diverse business background and extensive leadership experience make her a tremendous asset for our company,” said Michael Pierce, company president. “We are looking forward to the contributions she will bring to our team and our employee ownership culture.”
Howland lives in Camden with her husband, two children and two dogs. She is a native of Manchester.
