Gov. Janet Mills nominated Meg Garratt-Reed as executive director of the Office of Affordable Health Care. Garratt-Reed’s nomination is subject to review by the Legislature’s Health Coverage, Insurance, and Financial Services Committee and confirmation by the Maine State Senate. The governor also nominated Carlos Mello to serve as CEO of the Finance Authority of Maine (FAME) and Blue Keim, managing director, Westbrook Facility, Sappi North America, for a second term on the FAME board of directors. Both nominations are subject to review by the Maine Legislature’s Joint Standing Committee on Innovation, Development, Economic Advancement and Business and confirmation by the Maine State Senate.
