Logically, a private equity-backed outsourcing and consulting firm based in Portland, on Thursday announced the appointment of Joshua Skeens as its new CEO.
Skeens, who succeeds Michelle Accardi, has served as chief operating officer at Logically since January 2022, according to his LinkedIn profile. He joined Logically in 2021 through the acquisition of Cerdant Inc., a managed security services provider based in Dublin, Ohio.
"Logically sits at the forefront of an exciting market opportunity, as IT management and cybersecurity readiness are top priorities for companies of all sizes," Skeens said in the news release.
Securing our customers’ futures by staying on the cutting edge of cybersecurity has long been a differentiator for Logically, and we will continue advancing this goal with new innovations, technologies, and strategies in 2023 and beyond," he added.
Accardi, who took the helm at Logically in October 2021, is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.
Logically, which employs more than 450 people, including more than 30 in Portland, is a portfolio company of the Riverside Co., a global private equity firm focused on the smaller side of the middle market.
Skeens told Mainebiz that while he will run Logically from Ohio, he plans to frequent all locations. He also said that the company has moved increasingly towards a remote-workforce model in order to tap into a greater talent pool and offer greater work-life balance to employees.
"As we grow, we will assess what makes strategic sense to support large concentrations of employees and customers," he said.
Skeens said the company plans to keep hiring in 2023 despite industry-wide challenges of filling cybersecurity and IT roles, and that his priorities this year include turning Logically into a thought leader "in an industry that is constantly innovating."
Skeens also signaled that the company will continue its strategy of growth through targeted acquisitions, saying, "Logically is constantly on the lookout for companies to help bring value and service to our customers."
