ReVision Energy, the South Portland-based solar installer, has hired Heather Deese as director of commercial sales.
In her new role, Deese will lead the company's growth in commercial solar markets across New England and oversee a team focused on advancing ReVision’s mission to bring renewable energy technologies to businesses and communities.
“Energy is a major expense for businesses and community organizations in the northeast and leaders face real challenges deciding how to allocate scarce resources,” Deese said.
Prior to joining the company, Deese was the senior director of policy and regulatory affairs at Dandelion Energy in New York and the executive vice president at the Island Institute. She serves on the board of the Hurricane Island Center for Science and Leadership.
“Businesses have a tremendous opportunity to drive positive change through smart investments in clean energy technologies,” said Dan Weeks, vice president of business development at ReVision Energy. “Heather’s leadership and demonstrated commitment to sustainable business solutions will guide our commercial partners through a transition to renewable energy, empowering them to build a more sustainable future.”
Deese received her bachelor's degree from Georgetown University, a master’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and her Ph.D. from the University of Maine.
ReVision Energy has offices in South Portland and Montville; Brentwood and Enfield, N.H.; and North Andover, Mass. It has more than 380 employee co-owners. ReVision is a certified B Corp with a mission to lead the community in solving the environmental problems caused by fossil fuels while alleviating economic and social injustice.
