TechMaine honors Portland businesses

TechMaine, the state's resource and advocacy group for Maine's technology industry, recently presented awards to a few Greater Portland area businesses at its annual awards ceremony.

Among the Portland area companies and executives honored were:

Kepware Technologies, which received the Governor's Award for Technology Company of the Year for the release of its new core platform in May. The platform has become the industry standard supplier of connectivity software to major automation vendors in the United States, according to release from TechMaine.

FetchDog Inc., a company that serves the needs of dog owners, received the title of Gazelle Company of the Year, having recently closed a $4 million round of funding to improve its infrastructure, develop new content and initiatives and expand its executive team.

Joshua Broder, president of Tilson Technology Management Inc., a technology consulting company, received CxO of the Year. Over the past three years, Broder has progressed from consultant to general manager to his current position as president, fostering growth and professional development of his staff.
