Hollywood Slots to receive first casino license
Gambling officials plan to issue the state’s first casino license later today to Hollywood Slots in Bangor.
The Gambling Control Board is expected to issue the license when it meets today in Augusta, according to The Associated Press. The license is required for Hollywood Slots to add poker, blackjack and other table games in March. After the license is approved, Hollywood Slots will change its name to Hollywood Casino Bangor.
The Oxford Casino currently under construction has applied for a casino license for when it opens this summer.
