Lee Auto Malls acquires competitor

Auburn-based Lee Auto Malls has acquired the assets of an auto and finance company in Trenton.
Lee Auto Malls acquired Linnehan's Credit Now! Auto Co.'s eight sales dealerships in northern and central Maine, as well as a related finance company, Atlantic Acceptance Corp., according to a release from Lee. Lee, which has 12 sales locations in southern and western Maine, plans to retain the Credit Now! brand and the company's existing employees.
The acquisition brings together two of the largest volume used vehicle dealers in the state, according to the release.
