LePage to talk business in New Brunswick

Gov. Paul LePage is scheduled to meet with New Brunswick Premier David Alward on Thursday to discuss trade, business and energy opportunities.

In a video last week, LePage said he would like to see Maine focus more on hydropower electricity and suggested that the state could become an intermediary for selling it from Quebec to other New England states.

The meeting scheduled for Thursday with New Brunswick officials in Saint John is sponsored by the New Brunswick city's Board of Trade, according to The Associated Press, and will include forums on energy and expanding business relationships between the Canadian province and New England.
