Aroma Joe’s has opened a location in Saco at 933 Portland Road, the brand's second site in the city.
This 980-square-foot drive-thru features coffee, espresso, energy drinks, soft drinks and food options. The new Saco location will be open daily from 4:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The shop will have 20 employees and is the second Aroma Joe’s to open in Saco under the leadership of franchisee Maryna Shuliakouskaya. She opened her first Saco location at 1 Moody St., about 3 miles from the new location.
Shuliakouskaya, one of Aroma Joe’s first franchisees, opened her first shop in 2013. She now owns and operates 10 Aroma Joe's locations.
“We’re excited to grow within the Saco community,” said Shuliakouskaya. “This new store allows us to serve more guests and create additional opportunities for local team members. It’s all about sharing the positive energy that Aroma Joe’s is known for.”
Elsewhere in Saco, coffee shop franchises include Starbucks and Dunkin'. The new Aroma Joe's location is also near the recently closed Ziggi's Coffee franchise.
Aroma Joe’s, which is based in South Portland, launched in 2000 in New Hampshire and then moved to Maine. The company is a franchising business that has expanded primarily in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Connecticut, but there are also franchisees in Florida.
The company now has 120 locations.
